Trained in Japan for reconstructive aspects of Cleft Lip and Palate and Micro-vascular surgical reconstructions for Oral Cancer resections. Prof. Jayantha has trained many Local and Foreign doctors on these trchniques.

Apart from clinical treatment including General Dentistry and Minor Oral Surgery, Prof. Jayantha has research interests in Impacted Lower Wisdom Teeth, Speech reconstructive Surgery for Patients with Cleft Palate, Jaw deformities and resection and reconstruction of Oral Cancer. Further, Prof. Jayantha has interest and experience in Biomedical informatics including Telemedicine.
